Hi, I’m Emily Mendosa, the makeup artist behind Ethereal Beauty.
A Virginia native with more than ten years of experience in the beauty industry, I created Ethereal Beauty from my love of fantasy, artistry, and the quiet magic of helping someone feel entirely like themselves—only luminous.
For me, bridal makeup is about so much more than creating a beautiful finished look. It’s about listening closely, caring for the person in my chair, and designing an experience that helps you feel calm, confident, and completely at home in your own skin.

I’ve always been drawn to fantasy—to beautiful worlds filled with atmosphere, imagination, and meaningful details. That love helped shape Ethereal Beauty, not because bridal makeup should feel like a costume, but because I believe beauty can feel quietly transformative.
To me, “ethereal” isn’t about becoming someone else. It’s the feeling of seeing yourself illuminated: your favorite features thoughtfully enhanced, your skin looking alive, and every detail working together in a way that feels effortless and entirely your own.
That is the kind of beauty I want to create for every bride: romantic without being overly delicate, polished without feeling heavy, and touched with just enough whimsy to feel unforgettable.
MY PHILOSOPHY

Before I begin creating your makeup, I listen. I want to understand how you normally see yourself, what makes you feel most confident, and what you want to experience when you look in the mirror on your wedding day.
Every choice—from skin preparation to color, texture, and lash placement—is made with intention. Your features, comfort, personal style, wedding atmosphere, and any traditions or cultural significance connected to your makeup all deserve thoughtful consideration.
This is your face and your wedding day. My role is not to impose a signature look, but to bring artistry, expertise, and careful guidance to a process we create together.
